    The Cloister on Paradise Island

The Cloister on Paradise Island in the Bahamas is a truly exquisite garden located on the grounds of the One & Ocean Club.  The Cloister is made up of ruins from a 12th century French Monastery transported to the island in the 1920s.  The garden was fully assembled in the 1960’s and is now a great place for photos, picnics or events.  The Cloister is a must see while you are on Paradise Island and best of all it is free!

The Cloister is one of the best spots on Paradise Island to get married.  The scenery of the ancient ruins overlooking the crystal blue water is something you will never forget.  Another great benefit to having a wedding at the Cloister is the privacy.   Other outdoor wedding locations do not have the same amount of privacy as the Cloister.  Wedding ceremonies and events must be booked through the One & Only Ocean Club or the Atlantis event staff.

Where is the Cloister on Paradise Island?

The Cloister is located on Paradise Island Drive across from the One & Only Ocean Club and is easy to get to from most locations on Paradise Island.  It is walking distance from the Marina Village, the Riu Paradise Island, and the Beach Tower of Atlantis.  Guests of the Atlantis can ask one of the shuttle drivers going to the Ocean Club to drop them off on the way there.
